IMPORTANT: The PCI controller may not work with NetWare 4.0. The NetWare 4.0 software is distributed on CD-ROM and the installation process requires the driver for the CD-ROM drive to 'HIDE' the SCSI ID that the drive was set to. The Buslogic driver allows to hide a SCSI ID, but the PCI driver does not.

1.2GB/2.0GB SCSI TAPE DRIVE JUMPER SETTINGS: - Drive part number is: 400937-001 & -002 - Terminator resistor packs must be installed. - Set jumper plugs for SCSI ID = 2 - Set jumper plug for PARITY Looking at the tape drive from the back, the first five positions of the jumper header should be empty, only positions six and eight should have a jumper plug installed.

FORMATTING DISK DRIVES USING "DIVE" Note: The MAI Offline Diagnostics does not work with a PCI controller, A buslogic or Adaptec controller are required.
Note: The MAI Offline Diagnostics diskette (W514832-007) does not boot on the GPx Series 60/90 systems. You must boot from a DOS diskette, then perform a soft reset and boot from the Diagnostics diskette. - Boot from an MS-DOS diskette (version 3.3 or higher) - Install the MAI Offline Diagnostics diskette (W514832-007) on drive A and boot from it by perform a soft reset (Ctrl-Alt Del) - dive <CR> (Enter the Diagnostic program to boot:) - <CR> (When the proprietary message is displayed) - <Esc> (Hit ESCAPE to continue) - 1 (Device selection) - Select drive number to format - 2 (Format) - 1 (Standard format) - Y (Do you want to continue?) - Y (Are you sure?) Note: If the message: "Standard format parameters have not been defined for this drive. SCO UNIX SOFTWARE INSTALLATION: Note: Should the installation need to be restarted (i.e. an incorrect selection was made in response to a prompt, SCO serial number needs to be changed, etc..),power-off the system, insert the N1 diskette and power-on the system.
