(edited 8-Jun) (fm) (PDP--11 Keypad Editor User's Guide) <order_number>(AA--H853C--TC)
(August 1991) This document tells you how to use your terminal and the PDP--11 Keypad Editor (KED) to write, edit, and inspect any kind of text file and to store that file in one of the volumes on your system. <p> Whether you are a first-time or a long-time user of KED, you should begin with Chapter 1. This document has been completely rewritten to be more tutorial and task oriented. <endabstract> <revision_info>(This document supersedes the <reference>(ked_book), AA--H853B--TC. <condition>(iasrsx) and the <emphasis>(PDP--11 Keypad Editor Release Notes), AA--J692A--TC. <endcondition>) <REVISION_INFO>(Operating System and Version:\<condition>(iasrsx) IAS Version ??? or later, RSX--11M Version ??? or later, RSX--11M--PLUS Version ??? or later, and<endcondition>RT--11 Version 5.6) <ENDTITLE_PAGE> <COPYRIGHT_PAGE> <COPYRIGHT_PAGE_FORMATTING>(CONTROLLED) <PRINT_DATE>(First Printing, March 1980) <PRINT_DATE>(Updated, February 1981) <PRINT_DATE>(Updated, July 1984) <PRINT_DATE>(Revised, August 1989) <PRINT_DATE>(Reprinted, August 1991) <p> The information in this document is subject to change without notice and should not be construed as a commitment by Digital Equipment Corporation. <p> Digital Equipment Corporation assumes no responsibility for any errors that may appear in this document. <p> Any software described in this document is furnished under a license and may be used or copied only in accordance with the terms of such license. For RT--11, the system prompt is a period (.).) <table_row>(Red print\Indicates the characters typed on the keyboard in examples of commands.
