There's not much to using DropPoint. A tile is displayed with the image of a running application (easily identified by the bullseye image overlaying it). If a file stack is dragged to this icon and released, that app will be asked to open those files that have an extension it recognizes. The command key is used to override this "smart" opening to force an application to try and open all the files in the stack. If the stack is held over the tile for a certain length of time then a window pops up showing all the running applications for you to select. The most recently selected application will be displayed in the tile and should appear near the center of the popup window to minimize mouse movements.
