DropPoint 1.0 http://www.ultraviolent.com/DropPoint/ DropPoint adds aditional drag&drop features to MacOS X Server DR2. Under NEXTSTEP each running application had an associated tile on screen that was was very useful for dropping files on. DropPoint does the same and was inspired by the screenshot for the OPENSTEP for Mach 4.0 beta 1 screenshot that was in circulation. Release Notes Version 1.0 -initial public release -I would have liked to have used or simulated a non-rectangular window for the pop up. Unfortunately I couldn't implement it in this version with 100% reliability so it was taken out of v1.0. If you're feeling frisky try adding useTransparency=YES to your defaults for a preview of the feature. -help is pretty minimal but then again, so is the app -source code is unavailable at this time Known Bugs Version 1.0 -I haven't decided if the following is a bug or a feature... let me know if you have a preference. Description: When no application is selected the icon displayed in the tile is not "locked" into place. In other words, if another app launchs or terminates it's possible that the displayed icon will change when there is no selected application. Maybe no icon should be shown if there's no selected app (save the bullseye) -- Ian P. Cardenas (ian_cardenas@ultraviolent.com)
