This folder contains the files required to create a bootable FDOS-III system running on an FD360 or FD3712 disk system from iCOM (Pertec). The disk image here is configured for console I/O using an Altair 88-2SIO serial port at 10h/11h. FDOS provides four logical I/O devices: console, reader, punch, and list. Through SYSGN parameters saved in sector 1, track 0, FDOS can be configured to assign different physical devices to these logical devices. Further, the FDOS init procedure can also load custom code to support the physical devices specified during SYSGN. These I/O routines are placed in high RAM above the maximum RAM address specified for FDOS during SYSGN. See the SER2SIO.ASM file for the 88-2SIO routines that are loaded. On an Altair 8800 (or other S-100 computer) with an 88-2SIO serial board, run PC2FLOP to create a bootable disk. See the "Disk Image Transfer" folder.
